In 2015, our family found out that our mom suffers from a chronic brain tumor known as meningioma. She went in for her first operation, but there were no guarantees that the tumor would fully disappear.
Two weeks ago, the tumor resurfaced to a diameter of 9cm putting extensive pressure on the entire nervous system and prompting all the opinions from the consulted doctors to conduct an emergency operation as soon as possible.
We secured enough funds for the operation, and she managed to pull through, but sadly there were a lot of complications after the surgery which led us here to Fundahope. The current crisis in Lebanon has depleted all other forms of aid or funding, whether government or private sector.
Our mother is currently in the ICU with an open tab on the costs of medical services amounting to $23,000 and exponentially increasing by the minute.
