Stand with Christians in Syria and the Middle East
On June 22, 2025, during this past Sunday Mass in Syria, while kids were running around, women dressed nicely, fathers with their children, and the faithful waiting to receive the Eucharist, a suicide bomber attacked the church, killing 27 people so far and injuring many others. The church was believed to be packed with more than 300 people. As Christians in these lands, we’ve preserved for 2000 years, and we are here to stay. To help our brothers and sisters in Christ in Syria, who for their faith in Jesus were killed during prayer, we’ve created this fundraiser to help ease their pain, rebuild the church, and support the families of the wounded and martyred. Any excess funds will go to help persecuted Christians in the Middle East. Now’s the time we can do something and stand strong, all in Christ. Amen. About us: Eastern Christians is the largest digital platform representing Christians in the Levant, Middle East, and North Africa, reaching hundreds of millions globally. We exist to give a strong voice to these communities through awareness, sustainability, and action. Empowering Eastern Christians to stay, thrive, and be seen. @eastern_christians (instagram) Stand For Truth, led by Charlie Bakhos since 2016, defends persecuted Christians worldwide. It has raised funds for churches in Lebanon, helped the poor, supported victims of the 2020 Beirut Blast, and built strong ties with the diaspora.

Support Campaign for Akkar Trail’s Wildfire Response Efforts – #WeExtinguishToProtect | #منطفي_لنحمي In Akkar, North Lebanon, wildfires are no longer a seasonal threat—they’ve become a harsh and destructive reality, worsened by climate change, prolonged droughts, and relentless heatwaves. Since 2020, the Akkar Trail Wildfire Response Team has been Lebanon’s first volunteer-based unit specialized in fighting forest fires in rugged, hard-to-reach terrains. Working alongside Civil Defense, municipalities, and local communities, the team has played a vital role in reducing wildfire impact across the region. But today, the team is facing its toughest season yet—with almost no resources left. The situation is urgent: Only two firefighting vehicles, both in desperate need of repair Trained volunteers waiting without proper protective equipment No budget for fuel, hoses, or essential safety gear An early and intense fire season, triggered by severe drought In short: The willpower is there. The expertise is proven. But the support is missing. Let’s put it out together. Your donation will directly support: ✔ Repairing and equipping fire trucks ✔ Purchasing essential tools and protective gear ✔ Fueling and sustaining field operations ✔ Training and outfitting new volunteers Protecting a tree today is better than planting one tomorrow. #WeExtinguishToProtect | #منطفي_لنحمي Donate now – and be part of the first line of defense for Lebanon’s forests.

Help Rebuild a Dream: A Horse, a Stable project
My last trip to Morocco began like a dream — golden sunsets, the sound of waves crashing against Essaouira’s windswept shores, and the rhythmic beat of hooves on the sand. It quickly became something I would never forget… for reasons I never expected. On my previous visit, I met a remarkable young man — a passionate horse rider who had just begun his journey of building a small business. With nothing but a strong spirit and his beloved horse Strom, he offered unforgettable rides along the beaches and through the forests, creating magical moments for travelers like myself. His joy was contagious. His dream was simple but beautiful — to share his love of horses and nature with the world. So inspired by his passion, I planned a second visit to Essaouira to help him grow his business. During that trip, he trained me with the same care and dedication he showed his horse. I witnessed firsthand his extraordinary ability to teach, to lead, and to inspire. But what began as a joyful experience quickly turned into a nightmare. I fell gravely ill and was rushed to the intensive care unit in Marrakesh. I was terrified, alone in a foreign country — until he showed up. Every day, without fail, he sat by my side, bringing me strength through his quiet presence. His own world was falling apart — though I didn’t know it yet. On the fourth day, as my condition worsened — my lung collapsed and a blood infection spread — he received a devastating call. His beloved horse, Strom, was dying. Over FaceTime, he watched helplessly as his best friend took his final breath. And still… he never left my side. He didn’t tell me until I began to recover. He didn’t want to burden me. But when I found out, I broke down. Strom wasn’t just a horse. He was this young man’s livelihood. His partner. His future. And now, it's all gone. I can’t stop thinking about the love, strength, and loyalty he showed me in my darkest hour. I feel a deep responsibility — not just to thank him, but to help him rise again. This is why I’m asking for your help. We’re raising funds to buy a new horse and build a small, safe stable for him — so he can rebuild his dream from the ground up. Your donation, no matter how small, is not just a gift — it’s a lifeline. It’s a chance to give back to someone who gave everything without expecting anything in return. It’s a step toward healing. A step toward hope. Let’s bring the magic back to Essaouira. Let’s help a young man ride again. Please donate. Share. Spread the word. Together, we can turn heartbreak into a new beginning. With all my heart, LUCIA

PLEASE HELP SAVE OUR PEKINGESE, OLIVER
Our pekingese needs an urgent operation to allow him to walk again. Oliver started showing signs of a spinal cord injury some months ago and it has now degenerated into him not being able to walk properly. He has been part of our family for 10 years and we do not want to lose him. His movements have become very restricted, and he needs an operation at a veterinary specialist to solve this. According to the vet: Spinal cord injuries, particularly those stemming from intervertebral disc disease (IVDD), are a significant concern for Pekingese dogs. IVDD is a degenerative condition where spinal discs bulge or rupture, compressing the spinal cord and potentially causing pain, nerve damage, and paralysis. Early signs can include reluctance to jump, neck pain, or difficulty with head movement. • High Risk:Pekingese, with their short legs and long backs, are predisposed to IVDD. • Early Onset: In this breed, disc degeneration can begin early in life, potentially leading to herniation and spinal cord compression even in young dogs (1-2 years old). • Symptoms:IVDD can manifest as neck pain, stiffness, muscle spasms, and varying degrees of paralysis, from mild leg weakness to complete paralysis. • Diagnosis and Treatment:Veterinary care is essential for diagnosis and treatment. Treatment options include pain management, physical therapy, and, in some cases, surgery. Other Spinal Cord Issues: • Vertebral Instability:Pekingese can also experience vertebral instability, which may lead to spinal cord injury. This can be identified through dynamic myelography or spinal manipulation, and stabilization surgery may be an option. • Degenerative Myelopathy (DM):While less common than IVDD in Pekingese, DM is a progressive neurological disease that can affect the spinal cord, causing hind limb weakness and paralysis. There is currently no cure for DM. Prevention and Management: • Weight Management:Maintaining a healthy weight can help reduce stress on the spine. • Ramps and Steps:Using ramps or steps to help Pekingese access furniture can minimize jumping, which can exacerbate spinal issues. • Early Veterinary Care:Any signs of spinal injury or neurological problems should be addressed promptly by a veterinarian. • Rehabilitation:Physical therapy and other rehabilitation methods can help improve mobility and quality of life for dogs with spinal cord injuries. PLEASE HELP US TO HELP OLIVER TO HAVE THIS CRUCIAL OPERATION! I AM A SINGLE MOTHER OF TWO BOYS WHO BOTH LOVE OUR DOG DEARLY AND WE URGENTLY NEED TO OBTAIN FUNDS IN ORDER TO AFFORD THIS CRITICAL OPERATION WHICH HAS NOW BECOME AN EMERGENCY. HE IS IN A LOT OF PAIN AND HIS MOVEMENTS ARE PAINFUL TO WATCH.

Help My Family Find Safety and Rebuild Our Lives
مترجم الى العربية بالأسفل Homeless and Displaced >>>Help Us Rebuild Our Life & Find Safety<<< My name is Oude, and I’m writing this with a heart full of pain, loss, and a desperate hope that someone out there will hear our cry. Since October 7, my family of seven has been living through the horrors of war in Gaza. In one night, everything we built was destroyed. Our home was bombed to rubble. The life we worked years to create vanished in seconds. We lost not just the walls that sheltered us, but the safety, peace, and future they represented. We fled from the north to the south, then to Rafah, each time hoping to find safety. But nowhere is safe. Every place we move to becomes another target, another nightmare. We are now displaced, homeless, and struggling to survive under unbearable conditions. I had invested everything I owned into a small poultry farm. It was our only source of income, our future. The war took that too. With no job, no business, and no home, we are starting again from zero. And still, the weight grows heavier. My elderly parents are with us. My father recently had open-heart surgery and urgently needs special medication and ongoing care. We can’t afford it, and even when we can, we often can’t find the medicine. My mother is also ill and weakened by the trauma and hardship of displacement. Every day, I fear for their lives. My children are young, but they carry dreams that shine despite the darkness around them. Malak, my brilliant daughter, is fluent in three languages. Just days before the war, she proudly earned her French DELF certificate , a huge achievement she worked so hard for. But she lost the certificate and her access to education when the bombing began. Donia, my little artist, has a heart full of color and creativity. She dreams of becoming an illustrator. Now, she has no tools, no notebooks, no space to draw—just fading dreams and memories of a safer time. Abood, my youngest child, is only four years old. At his age, he should be discovering the world, learning and playing like other children. But all he has known is fear. War has stolen his childhood, and every bombing makes him think it’s a volcano. He doesn’t understand war—only that the world around him isn’t safe. He should be in kindergarten, laughing and playing, but instead, he’s learning how to survive. Abood deserves a life filled with light, not fear. Each of my children has potential. They deserve more than this. Right now, we are raising funds to evacuate. It costs more than $5,000 per person just to cross the border. That doesn’t include the costs of rebuilding our lives from nothing, of finding shelter, safety, food, medicine, and education. We are asking for help not just to escape the war, but to give our family a chance to live again. Even while we are still in Gaza, life is nearly impossible. Prices have skyrocketed. Food, water, basic necessities—everything is more expensive than ever. We urgently need support just to survive day to day. But more than that, we need a path out of this nightmare. This campaign is our lifeline. Your support will help us afford the cost of evacuation, care for my elderly parents, provide food and warmth for my children, and start rebuilding the life that was stolen from us. We are not giving up. We believe that somewhere, someone will hear our story and care enough to help. Maybe that someone is you. Please, if you can, donate to our campaign. If you can’t, share our story. Every act of kindness, every voice that spreads our message, brings us closer to hope. From our family to yours , thank you. Thank you for reading, for caring, and for helping us hold on to the hope that one day, we’ll live in peace again. With gratitude, Oude and Family

Help Me Bring Joy Back to a Home That Lost It Lon
My father passed away when I was young, and since then, my mother has been responsible for me and my little sister. I am writing to you with all sincerity. The amount I requested in the fundraising campaign may seem larger than what I have stated in this article, including requirements, marriage, etc., but I was being honest with myself... Yes, I wrote the amount this big because I don't just need to pay my dues, I also need an amount that will help me earn a living, make my mother happy, support my future wife, take care of me and my family, and provide a source of income for a decent life. My mother is sick and takes a pill every night for her mental health. I go on a trip to bring some small money, leaving my mother alone. I need someone to take care of her, remind her of her medication, and provide for her. I have siblings from my father's other wife, all of whom live far away from me, and some of whom live nearby. He is just one brother, but he does not help me financially or morally. Throughout these very few years, I only had my sister living with me in the same house, and I always strived to be a father, a brother, and a support to her. My father left us a small sum of money, and I used it to help my sister get married. I didn't know then that this money was considered an inheritance that should be divided between me and my siblings. I used it with good intentions, and today I regret it. I want to give back to each of my siblings and clear my conscience. I also love a girl and want to marry her, but my circumstances prevent me from doing so. I want to marry her quickly because I love her and I want to get married for many reasons. I'm afraid that she will slip away from my hands, that someone else will take her, and that I won't live with her the life I've always dreamed of. Time passes, and life doesn't wait. When I was young, I made mistakes, including stealing things from people. I regret all of that, and I want to repay as much of it as I can to those who owe it to them. I will repay the debts of those I know, and I will spend the money of those I don't know on things that will benefit the poor or others. I also have to make expiation for oaths I used to say, "By God, I will do such-and-such," and then not do them. I will feed the poor as expiation for these oaths. Help me, even if it's just a little, even with a prayer. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart.

Protect Young Girls from Danger and Keep Them Safe
Water for Life: Empowering Bukoba with safe water, security to young girls and women, bring hope and opportunity Dear Friends and Supporters, My name is Seif Khalifan, and I am reaching out to you with an urgent and heartfelt plea for help. I am fundraising to provide safe and sanitary water to the residents of Bukoba district in Kagera, Tanzania, where over 67,409 people in five villages are struggling with access to clean water. This lack of access to safe water is not just a daily inconvenience and it is a serious public health issue, and it is hindering the future of an entire generation. The wards affected by this crisis include: - Kaibanja Ward - Nyakibimbili Ward - Katoro Ward - Kyamulaile Ward - Izimbya Ward For these communities, obtaining water is a long, dangerous journey. Families are forced to use contaminated sources of water that cause waterborne diseases, making them vulnerable to illnesses like cholera and dysentery. But there is a deeper, more tragic impact on the lives of young girls and women in these areas. Many girls have been forced to drop out of school simply because they spend most of their time fetching water, which prevents them from pursuing their education and achieving their dreams. What's even more heart-wrenching is the troubling rise in gender-based violence. In 2024 alone, *506 girls and women were victims of rape* while making these dangerous trips to collect water. This is a heartbreaking reality for a community already suffering from the lack of clean water and resources. The need is urgent. By providing safe, accessible water sources within these villages, we can help eliminate the threat of disease, reduce the time and danger involved in fetching water, and ultimately empower young girls to stay in school and build better futures for themselves and their families. What your donation will do: 1. Build safe water wells and filtration systems in the affected villages. 2. Establish community-led water management systems to ensure long-term sustainability. 3. Educate the local communities on sanitation practices and hygiene. 4. Provide protection and support for vulnerable girls and women, ensuring their safety as they go about their daily lives. This cause is not just about water…it’s about changing lives. It’s about giving children a chance to learn, women a chance to thrive, and entire communities the opportunity to break free from the cycle of poverty and violence. Join us in making a difference.* Your support, no matter how big or small, will help provide life-saving water and give the people of Bukoba the hope and opportunities they deserve. Together, we can make this vision a reality. Thank you for your kindness and support. With hope, Seif Khalifan Fundraiser for Safe Water in Bukoba, Tanzania

No more using Mercury in artisanal gold mining

Environment

No more using Mercury in artisanal gold mining
Why This Matters: Environmental Crisis: Mercury used in ASGM is Indonesia’s largest source of mercury pollution, releasing over 100 tons annually, harming ecosystems and water sources (e.g., high mercury levels in Sukabumi’s rivers). Health Risks: Miners, especially women and children, face severe health issues from mercury exposure, with studies showing up to 24 ppm in miners’ hair in some regions, far exceeding safe limits. Economic Opportunity: Mercury-free methods improve gold yields and open access to premium markets, as demonstrated by initiatives like pGOLD Indonesia, boosting miners’ incomes by up to 20%. My Vision: Drawing on my 17 years of experience in Surabaya, myself aim to empower 1,000+ miners across Indonesia’s key ASGM regions (e.g., Sumatra, Sulawesi, Kalimantan) with sustainable practices, aligning with the Minamata Convention’s mercury phase-out goals. My Story: "As a gold mining consultant based in Surabaya for 17 years, I’ve worked with communities and businesses to make mining safer and more sustainable. I’ve seen the devastating impact of mercury on miners’ health and Indonesia’s rivers. This campaign will fund mercury-free technologies, training, and market access to transform artisanal mining into a force for good—protecting our environment and uplifting livelihoods." Funding Breakdown The USD 5000 will be allocated transparently to maximize impact: Mercury-Free Technology (USD 250,000): Purchase and install mercury-free processing equipment, such as shaking tables and gravimetric concentrators, used successfully in projects like GOLD-ISMIA. Target: Equip 10 mining communities (100 miners each). Training Programs (USD 150,000): Train 1,000 miners, prioritizing women, on mercury-free techniques and safety protocols. Modelled on pGOLD’s training in Sumatera, costing ~USD 150/miner. Market Access and Formalization (USD 50,000): Develop partnerships with ethical buyers (e.g., Gardens of the Sun) and support legal permits to connect miners to formal markets, increasing income by 15-20%. Community Outreach and Education (USD 30,000): Raise awareness in ASGM communities about mercury’s dangers and promote adoption of new methods through workshops and local leaders. Operational and Admin Costs (USD 20,000): Cover logistics, staff, and Fundahope’s platform fees (typically 5-7% of donations). Timeline (1-Year Plan) Month 1-2 (May-Jun 2025): Launch campaign, finalize equipment suppliers, and begin social media promotion. Month 3-6 (Jul-Oct 2025): Reach USD 200,000, purchase initial equipment, and start pilot training in 2 communities (e.g., Bombana, Sulawesi). Month 7-9 (Nov 2025-Jan 2026): Expand to 5 more communities, hit USD 350,000, and establish market partnerships. Month 10-12 (Feb-May 2026): Complete training for 1,000 miners, install remaining equipment, and report final outcomes to donors. Key Challenges and Solutions Mercury Availability: Domestic cinnabar mining keeps mercury cheap. Solution: Subsidize mercury-free equipment to compete on cost, as seen in GOLD-ISMIA’s model. Illegal Mining: Many ASGM sites lack permits. Solution: Allocate funds to support legal formalization, building on your consulting experience. Donor Fatigue: Crowdfunding campaigns often stall. Solution: Regular updates, compelling stories (e.g., a miner’s transformation), and corporate partnerships to sustain momentum. "Join me, a Surabaya-based gold mining consultant with 17 years of experience, to raise USD 500,000 and make artisanal gold mining in Indonesia mercury-free. Your donation will protect our environment, save lives, and empower 1,000+ miners with sustainable livelihoods. Together, we can create a brighter, cleaner future for Indonesia’s gold. Please help us start our lives!
Dear Donors, I hope this message finds you in peace. My name is Lyne, and I’m writing to you from Lebanon with something very personal and close to my heart. My partner Omar and I are hoping to get married and start our life together in a way that reflects our values—through love, commitment, and faith. But the reality we’re living makes that dream increasingly difficult. Beyond the daily economic crisis we face in Lebanon, the recent war and instability in the South have made things even harder—emotionally and financially. It’s been an incredibly heavy time for so many of us here. On top of that, my family is currently against our marriage, which has created added emotional strain and urgency. They are against our marriage because of stereotypical middle eastern mentality related to age and reputation. By reputation, i mean they want me to marry someone rich and or higher social status. I’m working multiple jobs just to manage basic expenses, while Omar is still finishing his university degree. We’re doing everything we can to build a future together, but we’re at a point where we need help. We’re not looking for extravagance—only enough to afford the modest costs of a proper marriage and a safe start to our life. We’ve chosen not to make this request public on social media, out of respect for our privacy and the sensitivity of the situation. That’s why I’m reaching out to you personally. If you’re able to offer any kind of support—financial or even a simple share of our story with someone who might be able to help—it would mean the world to us. If you’d like more details or a breakdown of our needs, I’d be more than happy to provide that. Thank you for taking the time to read this, and for considering helping us during this turning point in our lives. Your kindness, even in the smallest form, would be a light in the midst of a very difficult journey. With warmth and deep gratitude, Lyne

Help Mona & Dana Raise Funds for Cancer and Autism
They say you don’t truly know how strong you are until being strong is your only option. Life can hit us with moments that knock the wind out of us, literally and figuratively. For us, Dana and Mona, those moments came in very different forms, but they brought us to the same place: a deep desire to rise up and give back. About Mona’s experience - Last year, I faced a frightening health diagnosis - one of those terrifying pauses in life that changes everything. What began as a routine exam became an alarming medical evaluation when I learned I had breast cancer. Thankfully detected at its earliest most treatable stage, it was surgically removed, and today I’m healthy, strong, and profoundly grateful. Yet my own swift recovery only deepened my awareness of how many people struggle to access early detection, the right treatments, and the emotional support they—and their families—desperately need. That’s why I’m determined to give back: to help ensure more lives are saved through timely diagnosis, quality care, and compassionate community resources. About Dana’s experience: Ten years ago, my first son Zayn was born, almost dead - he stopped oxygen to himself fully for 7 minutes during birth. Those 7 minutes led to weeks in the NICU, developmental delays, years of searching for a diagnosis and necessary therapies as well as endless learning around love, surrender, gratitude and the beauty of the world through his eyes. We have been blessed with the ability to provide him with the best doctors and therapists along the way. Today, Zayn is thankfully thriving on the autism spectrum and enriching our lives like we could not have imagined. I’d like to do my part in ensuring other families get a similar opportunity to thrive. Both experiences left a mark - and a mission. This summer, to honour our journeys and support others still facing their own, we’ve committed to climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro side by side. Together, we’re turning our personal trials into a shared mission of hope, healing and support - shedding light on the work of two amazing NGOs in Lebanon that are deeply personal to us, while also raising $50,000 to support their mission and beneficiaries: Barbara Nassar Association for Cancer Patient Support, an organisation committed to guiding and supporting cancer patients and their families psychologically and financially, by advocating on behalf of patients and providing access to consultations, services, supportive care and medications free of charge; and OpenMinds, an organisation dedicated to empowering children and young adults with autism and neurodevelopmental differences — providing access to therapies, inclusive education and vocational training to families that otherwise would not be able to afford them. We’d be deeply honoured if you’d follow our story, share it, and support these organisations if you're able. Every step we take up that mountain will be for those still facing their own uphill battle, and the life-changing work of these two incredible organisations. With love and gratitude, Mona and Dana
