Help me to improve a computer technology training
Hargeisa, the capital of Somaliland, a silent revolution is brewing, one that has the potential to change the course of the future. Yet, this revolution is not of politics or power, but of possibility—possibilities created through access to technology and education. The Computer Technology Training Centre (CTTC) is poised to be the cornerstone of this transformation, providing the tools and knowledge for young people to thrive in an increasingly digital world. But to make this vision a reality, we need your support. The Need for Change In a world where technology is reshaping economies and societies, the youth of Somaliland are facing a challenge. Despite a growing population eager to learn and succeed, many are left behind due to a lack of access to modern technological training. In Hargeisa, many students, job seekers, and professionals struggle to gain the essential digital skills required for employment, entrepreneurship, or higher education. At the moment, the opportunities for technology training are scarce. There are few institutions offering up-to-date courses, and the existing facilities are outdated, with limited equipment and resources. This digital divide is preventing many from realizing their potential, and it’s a challenge that cannot be ignored. The Vision: A Technology Training Hub for Hargeisa We believe that the key to unlocking a brighter future for Hargeisa lies in providing accessible, world-class computer education. The Computer Technology Training Centre will be a place where anyone—regardless of their background—can come to learn, grow, and transform their future. Our vision is to establish a state-of-the-art training facility that will offer a wide range of courses, from basic computer literacy to advanced coding, graphic design, digital marketing, and cybersecurity. By equipping the youth of Hargeisa with the skills they need to compete in the global economy, we will empower them to: Secure better job opportunities in a technology-driven job market. Build their own businesses and contribute to the local economy. Pursue higher education and further their studies in fields such as software development, IT infrastructure, and digital arts. Develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills that are essential in any professional field. Our Goals The establishment of the Computer Technology Training Centre in Hargeisa requires significant resources, but the potential rewards are immeasurable. Our immediate goals are: Building a Modern Training Facility: We aim to create a welcoming and fully equipped centre, with classrooms, computer labs, and spaces for collaborative learning. This will be a safe, inclusive, and dynamic environment where students can thrive. Providing Access to Technology: The centre will be equipped with the latest computers, software, and high-speed internet to ensure that students have the tools they need to learn and grow. Offering a Comprehensive Curriculum: From basic computer skills to specialized courses in coding, data science, and IT management, we will offer programs that are in demand in today’s digital economy. Community Impact: Beyond the students who enroll, the centre will impact the broader community by creating job opportunities, supporting local businesses, and promoting the development of a skilled workforce. Why This Matters The need for a Computer Technology Training Centre in Hargeisa is urgent. We are living in a time when technology is advancing at an unprecedented rate. Yet, the people who stand to benefit the most from this progress are often the ones who have the least access to it. Without the right skills and training, the youth of Hargeisa and Somaliland will be left behind in a rapidly evolving world. Your support can change that. By contributing to this cause, you are not just donating to a training centre—you are investing in the future of an entire community. Your donation will provide students with the opportunity to break free from the limitations of their circumstances and reach their full potential. Success Stories in the Making We are already seeing the potential for success among the young people of Hargeisa. Take Ahmed, for example. A 19-year-old high school graduate, Ahmed dreamed of becoming a software developer, but he had no access to the tools or training to make it happen. Through informal training programs, he learned the basics of coding, but he could only go so far. If a proper training centre had existed when Ahmed was starting out, he could have gained the skills and confidence to become a full-fledged developer sooner. Then there’s Fatima, a young woman with a passion for graphic design, but no way to learn the software needed to bring her ideas to life. She’s currently relying on borrowed computers and outdated programs, and her talent is being held back by a lack of resources. At the Computer Technology Training Centre, Fatima could thrive—learning modern design tools and techniques that could help her build a career and even start her own design agency. These stories, and countless others, could become a reality with your help. Together, we can provide the foundation for young people in Hargeisa to dream bigger, reach further, and achieve more. How You Can Help Your donation—whether big or small—will make an incredible difference. Here’s how you can contribute: Make a Financial Donation: Your contribution will go directly toward the renting of the centre, the purchase of computers and software, projectors and the recruitment of qualified instructors. Become a Corporate Partner: If you are a business, consider donating computers, software, or even offering internship opportunities for students. Spread the Word: Help us raise awareness by sharing this campaign with your friends, family, and colleagues. Every person who learns about this initiative is one step closer to making it a reality. Together, We Can Build a Brighter Future The Computer Technology Training Centre in Hargeisa isn’t just a project—it’s a movement. A movement to bring opportunity, growth, and hope to the young people of Somaliland. With your support, we can equip them with the skills they need to succeed and help build a brighter, more prosperous future for all. Join us in this vital mission. Together, we can make Hargeisa a hub of technological innovation, where dreams are nurtured, potential is realized, and the future is shaped by the power of education. Donate today and help us build the future of the young youth.

If you feel compelled to offer something for my 50th celebration, please consider contributing to the campaign below, which supports education in my village by assisting with tuition fees and providing essential financial aid to our local school. Fayçal EL DARWICHE WHY DONATE? The funds raised will be matched by the EL DARWICHE family and managed by the foundation to maximize impact, particularly in enhancing the inclusion of vulnerable populations in the education system. EL-DARWICHE FOUNDATION FOR HERITAGE AND DEVELOPMENT / DAR ZEFTA FOUNDATION OVERVIEW: “El-Darwiche Foundation for Heritage and Development” or “Dar Zefta Foundation” was established in 2017 with a purpose to accelerate social and economic development in the village of Zefta and its surroundings. Launch of La Route des Arts, an itinerary of 18 diverse artists from the South, with most having their ateliers locally. The project offers the opportunity to visit these ateliers, get to know the artists personally and discover their work and their inspiring stories 3. Supporting the Education system in the village, by paying tuition fees and providing the local school with much needed financial support for its normal operations. 4. Last year, we at PEAKS WELLNESS, have successfully with your support completed a full year of education to 9 vulnerable girls aged between 4-18 who are living in Ghedres Orphanage Center. We will remind the context: These girls come from challenging backgrounds, and it is crucial to create an environment that promotes their physical, emotional, educational and psychological well-being. Considering that the girls come from different families with various vulnerabilities, we will factor and remind the following needs: - Provision of basic needs: Since the families are poor, the girls are in need of accessing basic needs such as food, clothing, and healthcare. - Cultural sensitivity and inclusion: Given the different religions and nationalities of the girls, the project will ensure that their religious and cultural sensitivities are taken into consideration, promoting an inclusive and respectful environment. - Education support: The girls in the center are struggling with their education due to unstable home environments. In addition to securing basic education, it is important to focus on vocational education, incorporating programs that provide educational support such as tutoring and mentoring programs will ensure the girls receive education support. - Rehabilitation support: Some girls are dealing with the aftermath of living with drug-addict parents or families that have gone through a divorce, death, or separation. As such, psychotherapeutic services and rehabilitation programs should be implemented to ensure they receive the necessary psychological and emotional support. Hence, the project will include several divisions: the rehabilitation and renovation of the center, developing a comprehensive plan for their daily routine with extra-curricular activities and psychotherapy, and providing vocational education to empower them for a brighter future. With the accumulation of crises in Lebanon, which led to the collapse of public education in the last years, we found ourselves forced to move these girls to private schools to complete their education process, which added to us an additional burden, which in addition to the regular expenses mentioned above, imposes on us a schooling fees ranging from 2,500 to 3,500 US dollars per year for each girl. Through your donations to PEAKS WELLNESS, you help sustain the provision of services and increase the capacity to accommodate more humanitarian cases. Thanks for your generous support!
