Darkest days in Lebanon’s history: Help us support
Darkest days in Lebanon’s history: Help us support displaced families Lebanon is reeling from one of the deadliest days in the country’s history. At least 500 people were killed by Israeli strikes across the country in less than 24 hours - approximately half the death toll from the 2006 Lebanon-Israel war that lasted 34 days. Entire families have been wiped out at once, entire towns were carpet bombed, residential buildings have been levelled to the ground, medics and ambulances have been targeted, and thousands of Lebanese were expelled from their homes. With the absence of a clear contingency plan by Lebanese authorities, it is crucial for Lebanese people to, once again, stand together in the face of adversity. We need unity and solidarity now more than ever as we all bleed the same. A small contribution can go a long way to help support displaced families in Lebanon today. Please consider donating, and visit @klna.lb for insight on some of our previous aid campaigns in Lebanon KLNA is a volunteer-based initiative founded by young Lebanese to help vulnerable families across the country. In response to this escalating “deliberate” crisis, exacerbated by political mismanagement, a dedicated collective of Lebanese youth, driven by a firm belief in social responsibility, established KLNA in May 2020. This non-profit organization, rallying the support of over 80 volunteers, has made significant strides in alleviating the hardships faced by communities across Lebanon. Through its comprehensive food relief programs, medical campaigns, and financial aid, KLNA has extended a lifeline to over 8,000 families in dire need.

Help Reunite the Subeih Family
At the end of 2023, I connected with a Palestinian man through a photojournalist I follow on IG. When the genocide following October 7 started, he depleted his savings to get his wife and three children out of Gaza. The Subeih family has been separated for the past several months. I have started this fundraiser for two reasons: first, to ensure that the children and their mother are able to provide for themselves. They are currently at risk of eviction, and have few resources at their disposal in Egypt. The funds will primarily cover essential expenses such as rent, utilities, groceries, and medical care for the family. The second goal behind this fundraiser is to facilitate the father's safe passage out of Gaza when the Rafah border opens up again. We have a chance to make a difference in the lives of the Subeih family. Your generous contribution, no matter how small, will make a significant impact on the Subeih's journey towards reunification and stability. Here's how you can support: Donate: Every donation brings us closer to our goal and directly benefits the family in need. Spread the Word: Share this fundraiser with your friends, family, and social networks. Together, we can amplify our reach and make a greater impact. Offer Support: Beyond monetary donations, your words of encouragement and solidarity mean the world to the Subeih family. Let's show them that they're not alone in this journey. If you would like to leave any messages for the family, please leave them with your donation or reach out to me directly. Thank you for your generosity and support.
