Help Mona & Dana Raise Funds for Cancer and Autism
They say you don’t truly know how strong you are until being strong is your only option. Life can hit us with moments that knock the wind out of us, literally and figuratively. For us, Dana and Mona, those moments came in very different forms, but they brought us to the same place: a deep desire to rise up and give back. About Mona’s experience - Last year, I faced a frightening health diagnosis - one of those terrifying pauses in life that changes everything. What began as a routine exam became an alarming medical evaluation when I learned I had breast cancer. Thankfully detected at its earliest most treatable stage, it was surgically removed, and today I’m healthy, strong, and profoundly grateful. Yet my own swift recovery only deepened my awareness of how many people struggle to access early detection, the right treatments, and the emotional support they—and their families—desperately need. That’s why I’m determined to give back: to help ensure more lives are saved through timely diagnosis, quality care, and compassionate community resources. About Dana’s experience: Ten years ago, my first son Zayn was born, almost dead - he stopped oxygen to himself fully for 7 minutes during birth. Those 7 minutes led to weeks in the NICU, developmental delays, years of searching for a diagnosis and necessary therapies as well as endless learning around love, surrender, gratitude and the beauty of the world through his eyes. We have been blessed with the ability to provide him with the best doctors and therapists along the way. Today, Zayn is thankfully thriving on the autism spectrum and enriching our lives like we could not have imagined. I’d like to do my part in ensuring other families get a similar opportunity to thrive. Both experiences left a mark - and a mission. This summer, to honour our journeys and support others still facing their own, we’ve committed to climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro side by side. Together, we’re turning our personal trials into a shared mission of hope, healing and support - shedding light on the work of two amazing NGOs in Lebanon that are deeply personal to us, while also raising $50,000 to support their mission and beneficiaries: Barbara Nassar Association for Cancer Patient Support, an organisation committed to guiding and supporting cancer patients and their families psychologically and financially, by advocating on behalf of patients and providing access to consultations, services, supportive care and medications free of charge; and OpenMinds, an organisation dedicated to empowering children and young adults with autism and neurodevelopmental differences — providing access to therapies, inclusive education and vocational training to families that otherwise would not be able to afford them. We’d be deeply honoured if you’d follow our story, share it, and support these organisations if you're able. Every step we take up that mountain will be for those still facing their own uphill battle, and the life-changing work of these two incredible organisations. With love and gratitude, Mona and Dana

Save my children from war and hunger in Gaza

Save my children from war and hunger in Gaza
Abu Mahmoud, from the Gaza Strip, is married and has four children. Before the war, I was working to build my children’s future towards education and a decent life for them. I work as a taxi driver. On the seventh day of October, the occupation bombed an area inhabited by the entire community, and thank God we miraculously survived Me, my children, and my wife went to my family's house, but I did not know that my family's house had been bombed and that their neighbors had been bombed. Then my nephew Kifah was martyred, so I named him after my mother, may God have mercy on her. Until I went to his family, my wife stayed with them for more than two weeks, but the Israeli army received orders to evacuate the area. I took him to one of my relatives, but the house was full of women, so I decided to leave my children and wife there while I slept in the street One day, while I was walking in the street, an Israeli warplane bombed a car in front of me. I was completely injured. The palm of my hand was amputated, and I was injured in the chest, leg, eye, and head. . Praise be to God, I have recovered, but I suffer from amputation of the nerve in my hand, but I do not take care of myself now until I serve lunch and drinks. And clothes for my children. We only say what pleases God. God is sufficient for us, and He is the best disposer of affairs. So a friend of mine asked me to start a campaign to collect donations for my children to survive the genocide I buy a tent to protect my children from the cold of winter and the harshness of summer, and I buy them clothes, food, and drink. I also want to buy my children a remedy for skin diseases, insects that spread due to poor head hygiene, lice and spiders so that I can cover them to sleep. There is no, so today we say to the world that we are living our worst conditions in Gaza: hunger, killing, and war among its people. With ethnic cleansing, we no longer have a source of income for our children, women and elders Therefore, we say to the donors that contact me and my children so that we can survive this ordeal, and we hope that you will donate to me. If it is not possible to dispose of the money, you can pray for me and spread my story to the world. Your brother, Abu Mahmoud

Help Me Rebuild Hope This Christmas

Help Me Rebuild Hope This Christmas
I am fundraising on behalf of my best friend. Here is her story: This year has been one of the hardest of my life. I’m carrying the heavy burden of debts that piled up after being forced to stop working due to the effects of war. Now, I’m struggling to get back on my feet while facing overwhelming challenges. I urgently need to cover the costs of medical tests and medications, but I simply don’t have the resources to afford them especially since I don’t have health insurance. On top of this, I’ve been helping my family by contributing to the cost of their medications, which has added to the financial strain add to that when I was back home I had to take debts from people to pay my rent in Beirut and to also contribute in the expenses at home so I have people to pay back that can’t wait much longer. To make matters worse, the restaurant where I work (a lifeline for me) is in danger of closing if it doesn’t make a profit by April, leaving me without an income. This constant uncertainty feels like too much to bear alone. Your support could help me through this incredibly difficult time. Donations will go toward: Paying off debts that accumulated when I couldn’t work Covering the costs of my medical tests and essential medications Helping me continue supporting my family with their medication needs Providing some stability as I try to rebuild my life This Christmas, all I wish for is the chance to start over. Any contribution, no matter the size, will bring me one step closer to stability and hope. If you can’t donate, sharing my story would mean the world to me. Thank you for being part of my journey to brighter days.

Help me and my family escape from Gaza
‏I am Nada Al-Sahar communicating with you from northern Gaza With an appeal that echoes the cries of my family in desperate need of your support. Nada Al-Sahar's family, once thriving in their home and business, now finds themselves on the brink of despair after facing unimaginable loss and hardship. In the wake of relentless conflict, my family was stripped of everything they cherished – their home, their livelihood, and worst of all the loss of the lives of two beloved family members. ‏As you know, my parents are elderly, I was their sole breadwinner, and I had my own independent business, and because of the barbaric war, my workplace and all our dreams were demolished. ‏We also have two patients. My father suffers from a chronic disease, which is high blood pressure, and he also suffers from a pulmonary crisis. My mother also suffers from heart disease and high blood pressure. Also, her eye was affected by white phosphorus resulting from the war, resulting in defective vision. This is very bad for us, and increases our pain and burning, ‏We cry a lot because of what these planes brought us. Now, they left nothing behind, and forced us to attack in Batman to life in Gaza without shelter, without livelihood, and with no hope for the future. The situation in Gaza is terrifying. Food scarcity has reached such extreme levels that it has been completely pushed to the brink of famine. Nada Al-Sahar's family, like many others, is struggling to survive, resorting endlessly in desperation just to put food on the table. ‏Their only desire now is to escape the cycle of violence and uncertainty – to seek refuge in a place where we can live in peace, dignity and security. But the path to freedom is fraught with obstacles, and my family cannot embark on this journey alone. Thanks to your generous contributions, we can provide Nada Al-Sahar's family with the means to rebuild their shattered lives. ‏The funds raised will go towards their immediate needs, including food, shelter, and the purchase of medicine and basic supplies. Additionally, your support will help cover travel costs as they seek to leave Gaza behind and start over in a safer environment. The road ahead is long and arduous, but with your help, we can offer Nada Al-Sahar’s family a ray of hope in the midst of the darkness. Your donations, regardless of the amount, ‏No matter the amount, you will make a huge difference in their lives, giving them the opportunity to regain their dignity and rebuild their future. If you need further evidence of their plight, I am more than willing to provide videos and photos documenting their struggles. Your compassion and generosity will not go unnoticed. Thank you for opening your hearts to Nada's family and for your solidarity with the people of Gaza during this humanitarian crisis. With sincere gratitude. Nada Al-Sahar
