SIRENS DOCUMENTARY LEBANON EMERGENCY FUND
In light of the current escalating political violence in Lebanon we have decided to create an emergency fund for those who participated in our 2022 documentary Sirens and those who worked as part of our team on the ground. Costs in Lebanon have spiralled so we are raising money to support our film family to cover the rising costs of gasoline, food and water, medical emergencies and potential exit strategies to leave the country if that is their decision. We know our friends have been unable to work and are living in absolute fear on a daily basis. The situation is unfolding rapidly and we are in touch every day with our team who have done nothing more than try to live their dreams as musicians or filmmakers. assalamualaikum wr wb. Let me introduce myself, my name is Ma'arif Muslim, I am a Lebanese student from Indonesia. There are around 47 Indonesian students in Lebanon and 20 of them prefer to stay here rather than be evacuated by the government. The reason we chose to stay is that we want to help and be useful to others, we saw many local residents and some of our friends who died due to the conflict.
