The people of South Sudan are facing a devastating crisis as a result of severe flooding that has caused widespread destruction of homes, livestock, crops, and has claimed many lives. The situation is urgent and requires immediate assistance to prevent further loss of life and the spread of epidemic diseases.

South Sudan, as a newly formed nation, has already faced many challenges, including a long-lasting civil war that has left the country with limited resources and capacity to respond to natural disasters like the current flooding.

Some of the aid agencies that operate in South Sudan, such as the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and International Rescue Committee (IRC) are overwhelmed with the needs of refugees in the country. This has resulted in the flood victims not receiving any attention and assistance from these agencies. The situation of the flood survivors is dire.
