My name is Ben R. Yarkpazo, and I’m writing this with great hope in my heart.
I’m a young man from Liberia who dreams of becoming an educated, responsible leader—someone who can support his family and give back to society. But right now, I’m stuck in a very difficult place.

In 2017, my father passed away. Since then, my mother has struggled to take care of me on her own. She’s a single parent, doing all she can, but life has been extremely hard for both of us. We fight every day just to survive.

Despite the hardships, I’ve never lost my desire to continue my education and attend university. Education is my path out of poverty—it’s the way I believe I can make a difference. But we simply cannot afford the cost of school fees, rent, and basic living expenses.
