Between the Lens and Destruction: A Message from Ismail, a Photojournalist from Gaza

I am Ismail, a photojournalist from the Gaza Strip. Every day I go out with my camera, I know I am risking my life. A photo has never been just a snapshot, but a testimony to the truth, a reflection of what my people are suffering.

I have faced death more than once. I have been in bombardment sites, under the rubble, running among the shrapnel just to document what is happening. I have lost a lot of equipment due to the attacks, and many friends along the way.

Today, I appeal to you. Not just for myself, but for the continuation of our message. We need your support to provide the basic necessities of life and to purchase new filming equipment so we can continue to transmit the image and reveal the truth.
