My name is Mahmoud. I was a refugee in Lebanon from 2012 until 2018, and I now live and work in New York. As a person with family and loved ones still enduring life as refugees in Lebanon, I’m witnessing the severe impact of the ongoing crisis on them who fled to Lebanon in 2012 to escape the war in Syria, are now facing displacement a second time due to the escalating conflict in Lebanon.

These families have nowhere to go. Unable to return to Syria, they are struggling to find new shelter within Lebanon as demand and rents surge due to the crisis. Living without a stable income, which they previously earned from daily-wage jobs, they now lack the basic means to afford rent, food, and medical supplies.

Right now, I’m raising funds to support these resilient yet vulnerable families that I know personally, who have been forced from their homes not once, but twice.

While I am helping my own family, but the need is too great to handle alone, which is why I’m reaching out to you

**How will the raised money be used**

Each $350 raised provides rent, food, and essential supplies for a family of five for one month in North Bekaa in Lebanon, giving them the security and basic necessities to live with dignity.

I am committed to helping 10 to 15 families for a period of 1 to 3 months, depending on the funds raised, with the hope that the conflict will soon come to an end.
