With a heart full of hope and pain, I am reaching out to you all for urgent help to save my sister’s life.

Our beloved department friend and my elder sister, Sifat Ara Neetu (28), has been bravely fighting kidney disease for the past 8 years, surviving on hemodialysis. Despite enduring countless hardships, she held on to life with courage and hope.

In January 2024, we finally reached AKG Hospital in Chennai, India, with the dream of a better life through a kidney transplant.

She underwent the transplant on February 21st, but that very night, due to severe internal bleeding, she had to undergo emergency reopening surgery. Her condition worsened — she was placed on life support for 3 days, and tragically, her new kidney stopped working.

A biopsy confirmed kidney rejection. The doctors immediately began plasmapheresis and ATG injections. After five plasma sessions and three ATG doses, we saw a glimpse of hope — a slight improvement.

But just two days later, her condition deteriorated again.

The doctors had to perform a second biopsy, and now she must stay in the hospital for at least 7 more days with more plasma and ATG treatments — which are incredibly expensive.

💔 We have already spent over 28 lakhs INR on her treatment.
💔 Since the transplant, our additional medical bills are between 8 to 12 lakhs INR — and we are now financially devastated.

After 8 long years of painful dialysis, Neetu dared to hope. She just wants a chance at a healthy, normal life — a life that so many take for granted.
