CARE is a Lebanese NGO which started in 2010 as a group of volunteers working with children and young adults with special needs. Our vision is: The right for each child and adult with special needs to access education and employment with a mission to help teenagers and young adults achieve their utmost potential to become responsible, contributing and independent citizens regardless of their individual abilities through social and professional integration.
What we do?
Responding to the lack of specialized services, CARE was established with the aim to empower students through specialized education and engaging them in recreational activities to help improve their psychological well-being, in addition to supporting their livelihood opportunities.
To reach the ultimate aim of CARE mission, our programs work in an integrated approach providing specialized services and activities according to our targets’ needs. Subsequently, programs are divided across the following sectors:
1- EducationalProgram:CARE educational activities focus on functional academics skills that follows a special Australian Curriculum as well as a vocationallife skills program designed by CARE.
2. Psychological Support Services (PSS):Psychological Support Service (PSS) is an important element of the integrated approach CARE is providing for our students.
3- Livelihood Program:CARE’s livelihoods activities focus on providing trainings on market skills, social and life skills, emotional learning and analytical skills.
4-Awareness and Advocacy Program:CARE raised awareness in different communities for the rights of those with special needs to access education and employment, through integrating them with community engagements activities.CARE had worked with different private schools( name 2 schools) as consultants for integrating children with special needs in the formal education system.

Donors and donations:
To be able to keep giving and helping the most vulnerable students, CARE depends on events such as our annual gala dinners, Iftars, and brunches. We also receive donations and small grants from different sources and philanthropists.
