Help Alaa start his New Chapter
Hi everyone, I’m organizing this fundraiser on behalf of my friend Alaa, a determined, compassionate, and hardworking young man who has overcome incredible challenges to pursue his dream of higher education. Alaa is a refugee from Syria who, despite the odds, has worked tirelessly to build a better future. He’s held multiple jobs, taught himself English, and applied to universities around the world, all while navigating the uncertainty of life in displacement. He has been accepted to various universities in the US and Europe but the financial support is not enough. While he is in the process of applying to more scholarship opportunities to cover his tuition, he still needs to cover other costs for attending university. We’re hoping to raise $5,000 to cover: Language proficiency tests Travel documents and fees (Passport and visas) Flights and relocation Housing deposits Essential supplies for school and daily life (Note the camping goal is 5,500 to help offset some of the fees related to fundraising). Every donation, no matter how small, brings Alaa one step closer to his dream. If you’re not in a position to give, sharing this page would mean the world to us. Thank you for helping Alaa take this next big step. We believe he is capable of doing amazing things, and with your help, he can get there. If you have any follow up questions please feel free to contact me at [email protected] or contact Alaa directly at [email protected]. With gratitude, Claudia, Alaa, and friends

Help Abdallah Pursue His Dream Education at AUB Who I Am: My name is Abdallah, a Lebanese student recently accepted into the Applied Mathematics program at the American University of Beirut (AUB)—one of the most respected universities in the region. I come from a family of four and am the eldest child. I’ve always been deeply passionate about science, learning, and innovation. I plan to pursue a double degree in Applied Mathematics and Mechanical Engineering, combining advanced theory with practical application to help shape a better future for Lebanon. Why I Need Your Help: My dream of attending AUB is at risk due to serious financial challenges. My father works for General Security and has completed his required years of service, but continues working because our family depends on his income. He suffers from several chronic health conditions, including sleep apnea and restless leg syndrome, and must use a CPAP machine every night. My mother is unemployed, and with Lebanon’s ongoing economic crisis, we are struggling to meet basic financial needs. To make matters harder, my grandfather has been battling cancer for the past three years. His treatments have required continuous care and placed a significant financial burden on our family. We have medical documents to verify these circumstances and can provide them upon request. Despite our best efforts to manage these expenses, we simply cannot cover my university education without support. What Your Support Will Do: Government aid has helped me with schooling in the past, but it is not enough to fund my university education. This GoFundMe campaign is to raise money for my tuition and essential academic expenses at AUB. With your help, I will be able to pursue my education fully, without the heavy weight of financial stress. I have always taken initiative in my learning—completing college-level courses online through Coursera, attending free summer programs, and teaching myself German to expand my horizons. I even received an honorary award in physics at school. I learn quickly and strive to apply what I study in real and meaningful ways. Where This Will Lead: Lebanon has many talented youth, but limited access to innovation and advanced scientific research. I want to help change that. My goal is to use my education in applied mathematics and engineering to contribute to Lebanon’s scientific development and to help connect our country to global advancements. When I Need the Help: I have already been accepted into AUB, and I need funding as soon as possible to confirm my place and start in the upcoming academic year. Every donation—big or small—brings me one step closer to making this dream a reality.

From Beirut to the Stage

From Beirut to the Stage
Hello, my name is Jad Srouji, a young Lebanese man passionate about cinema and theatre since a very young age. I’ve been accepted into the Acting program at 3iS, where I hope to pursue my studies and fulfill my dream of becoming a professional actor. Even before starting my final year of high school, I began researching schools that offer acting programs. That’s when I discovered 3iS. After several months of reflection, I decided to apply, convinced that it’s the ideal place to develop my talent and build my artistic career. Unfortunately, due to the crisis in Lebanon and the pandemic, I wasn’t able to apply at the time. I had to study in another field instead, because taking an acting course remotely made no sense to me. Acting is a profession that must be experienced in person through real exchanges, direct feedback, and group energy. Today, I want to follow my true dream. I’m still young, full of energy, creativity, humor, and imagination. But to make this dream come true, I need your help. The cost of tuition, housing, and living expenses is high, and I can’t manage it alone. That’s why I’m launching this fundraising campaign to raise 5500 $, which will help me cover part of these expenses, including tuition and allow me time to find a job once I’m there. Alone in Lebanon, with my current salary, it’s very difficult to save enough money. Every donation, even symbolic, is a step toward this dream. And even a simple share can make a big difference. Thank you !

Save Rayhan Raju's Education & Family from Crisis
Hello, my name is MD Rayhan Raju, and I am a BSc Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) student with big dreams. But right now, my journey is at risk. My family is struggling—my father, mother, and younger brother depend on me, but we are facing a severe financial crisis. Six months ago, I lost my job at CCECC, where I worked to support my education and family. Since then, I have been trying everything to earn—learning video editing and freelancing—but despite my efforts, I haven’t been able to find stable income. Why I Need Your Help ($5,700 Goal) Now, my university is demanding tuition fees, and if I don’t pay, I will not be allowed to take my semester exams. Without this opportunity, I may lose my chance to complete my education, which is the only way to secure a better future for my family. I am also struggling to continue freelancing because I use an old second-hand laptop that overheats and shuts down frequently. A better PC would allow me to work properly, earn a stable income, and support my family in the long run. Here’s how the funds will be used: 📌 $4,000 for university tuition fees – To complete my semester and continue my education. 📌 $1,700 for building a PC – To pursue freelancing more effectively and earn for my family. How You Can Help I am not asking for charity—I just need a helping hand to stay in university and continue supporting my family. Even a small donation can make a huge difference. If you cannot donate, please share my story—it will mean the world to me. Your kindness can change my life and help me become an engineer, so I can build a brighter future for my loved ones. 🙏 Thank you from the bottom of my heart
